We have several classes planned for October.
Whether you are new to knitting and crocheting or just looking to improve your skills, we have courses for you.
In this 4-week course you will learn to knit a basic pair of mittens.
All supplies and equipment will be provided. At the end of four weeks, you will have learned the skills needed to knit mittens.
Cost: $80 until October 29 ($90 late registration)
Level: Intermediate — BEFORE you sign up, you must have the skills to cast on, knit in the round, increase, and decrease.
Date & Time: four Thursdays (Nov 5—26) from 6:30—8:30 pm
Lynda will be leading this workshop, possibly with a helper.
Children aged 10+ will learn beginner crochet skills in this 3-week course.
All supplies and equipment will be provided. At the end of three weeks, you will have learned single crochet and chaining. And you will own a hand-crocheted water bottle holder.
Cost: $50 until October 11 ($60 late registration)
Level: Age 10+. No prior experience needed.
Date & Time: Oct 19 & 26 and Nov 2 (three Mondays) from 4:00—5:30 pm
Sharla Davey will be leading this workshop, possibly with a helper.
You will learn beginner crochet skills in this 3-week course.
All supplies and equipment will be provided. At the end of three weeks, you will have learned single crochet and chaining. And you will own a hand-crocheted pumpkin ornament.
Cost: $70 until October 11 ($80 late registration)
Level: Age 16+. No prior experience needed.
Date & Time: Oct 19 & 26 and Nov 2 (three Mondays) from 6:30—8:30 pm
Sharla Davey will be leading this workshop, possibly with a helper.
In this 3-hour course you will learn to spin and ply your own yarn using a drop spindle.
Fibre will be provided, but the student is responsible to bring their own drop spindle (Manitoba-made spindles will be available for purchase in the mill store).
Cost: $65 until October 9 ($75 late registration)
Level: Beginner
Date & Time: Saturday, October 17th from 1-4 pm
Jane Thornton will be leading this workshop
